Oliver St John Gogarty and Guy St John Williams
In 2014, Joyceborough  organised a series of events to mark the 75th anniversary of the publication of Finnegans Wake. These included short films of excepts from the Wake produced in Dublin, Reykjavik, Iowa City, Norwich, Krakow, Melbourne and Edinburgh.  They can be seen on the website of the Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, which co-organised the project, and on Joyceborough.org. That project was also supported by the OPW (Phoenix Park), Dublin City Council, Phizzfest and BAM contractors.

In 2015, celebrating the 125th anniversary of Bohemian Football Club ( which counts Oliver St John Gogarty amongst it alumni) Joyceborough helped organise a reading, in the Brian Boru pub, of Joe Joyce’s ‘The Tower’, a drama which brings the ghosts of Joyce and Gogarty together. The room where it was staged overlooks the old No 19 tram route.

We were delighted to welcome Guy St John Williams and his wife Ann as our guests of honour on the evening. It the course of conversation, Guy’s manuscript was mentioned and, driven by Graham Hopkins,  wheels were set in motion...

The Real Buck Mulligan will be published in 2018 by
Printwell of Dublin, in association with Joyceborough.
