Ivy Day 2020

You are invited to a 'webinar' style theatrical presentation to mark Ivy Day, hosted by Consul General Laoise Moore and introduced by Ireland's Ambassador to the United States, Daniel Mulhall.

The part of Henchy in this adaptation is taken by  Janet Moran who recently portrayed Molly Bloom to great acclaim in the Abbey Theatre production of Dermot Bolger's adaptation of Ulysses.

Next Tuesday, October 6 is Ivy Day, the day marks the death of Charles Stewart Parnell, so vividly remembered in the Wake and many of Joyce’s other works.  In the second of the series of three Zoom performances in collaboration with the Consulate General of Ireland, Boston, The Here Comes Everybody Players will present a short play on Zoom based on Joyce’s short story, Ivy Day in the Committee Room.  The presentation will be at 3.00pm Eastern Standard Time, USA / 8.00pm Dublin Time.
